The Image Zoom, Pan, Fade In And Out application applies the effects on the images added on the canvas. You can add other new images on the canvas by simply selecting them and then dropping them in the canvas inside the application.
On Wikipedia the following is written about the zoom, pan, fade in and out effects applied on images:
"
The Ken Burns effect is a type of panning and zooming effect used in film and video production from non-consecutive still images. The name derives from extensive use of the technique by American documentarian Ken Burns. This technique had also been used to produce animatics, simple animated mockups used to previsualize motion pictures, but Burns's name has become associated with the effect in much the same way as Alfred Hitchcock is associated with the dolly zoom.
The feature enables a widely used technique of embedding still photographs in motion pictures, displayed with slow zooming and panning effects, and fading transitions between frames.

The following shortcuts are important for using the application:
when you press LEFT CTRL key + W key on an image in the canvas (so when you select the image and press this key combination), the Ken Burns effect is applied on all images in the canvas and this happens in the image container which was clicked last before pressing the LEFT CTRL key + W key.
pressing again the LEFT CTRL key + W key on an image container in which the Ken Burns effect is applied, it will make the effect stop and that image container will show the image it had initially.
when you press LEFT CTRL key + F key on an image in the canvas, the Ken Burns effect is applied only on the image of that image container however at the top right of the image container there will be an area on which you can drop either a set of individual images or entire folders containing images. Actually you can drop those images or folders with images on the entire area of the container in which the Ken Burns is active (if you have started the Ken Burns effect with the CTRL + F shortcut). Once those images or folders with images have been dropped in that area, the Ken Burns effect is applied on all those images. Pressing again the LEFT CTRL key + F key on a container where the Ken Burns effect is active, will cause the effect to stop and the image container will show the initial image.
when you press LEFT CTRL key + I key on an image in the canvas, the Ken Burns effect is applied only on the image of that image container. Pressing again the LEFT CTRL key + I key on a container where the Ken Burns effect is active, will cause the effect to stop and the image container will show the initial image.
Pressing any of these key combinations on an image container in which the Ken Burns effect is currently active will cause the effect to stop.
To remember this easier:
if you press LEFT CTRL key + W key then the Ken Burns effect is applied to all images in the canvas.
if you press LEFT CTRL key + F keythen the Ken Burns effect is applied only to the image found in the currently selected image container. However this key combination also shows an area where you can drop other images or entire folders which contain images.
if you press LEFT CTRL key + I key then the Ken Burns effect is applied only to the image found in the currently selected image container.
any of these key combinations can start or stop the Ken Burns effect for the currently selected container.
The paid version allows working with external images you can drag and drop on the canvas or which you can paste on the canvas from the Clipboard.
Using the application you can do the following:

paste external images from Clipboard (paid version only).
rotate, resize, duplicate, delete images from the canvas/working area. You can work with any number of images on the canvas by resizing, rotating, duplicating, deleting and changing the opacity of those images. This way you could create a final image from multiple individual images.
